"Providing
homeschool students opportunities to develop athletic
abilities while building character in a distinctly Christian
environment"
History
NOAH
fielded its first baseball team in 2003. This 5th grade team
didn’t give up even though it won just one game, its last
game of the season! In 2004 NOAH baseball dramatically
expanded to 6 elementary teams with about 82 kids
participating under the leadership of 24 coaches.
The next
phase of growth for NOAH Baseball took place in 2005 with
the addition of Varsity and junior varsity teams. In
addition to the high school, a junior high program was added
giving a total of nine teams.
In the
Spring of 2006 NOAH expanded again adding an additional
junior high team. This addition saw NOAH providing baseball
for every grade; elementary (1st – 5th), junior high (6th –
8th) and high school (JV and Varsity).
Our
Varsity program is a member of HWSA, Home School World
Series Association and participates annually in this
national tournament. In 2006 NOAH hosted HWSA’s West
Regional in Tulsa Oklahoma.
In the
Spring of 2007, the NOAH Diamond Jags just missed breaking
the 100 win barrier as a program, winning 97 games (versus
76 in 2006). The overall spring winning percentage was up
from 44% to just under 50%!
In the
Spring of 2008, NOAH added two competitive teams to the
Junior High and one team for Elementary to complement the
developmental teams. NOAH Baseball broke the 100 win barrier
as a program, winning 107 games (versus 97 in 2007). The
overall spring winning percentage was 53%!
In the
Spring of 2009, the varsity team placed 2nd in the HWSA West
Regional earning a #2 seed in the HWSA World Series in
Pensacola, Florida. NOAH Baseball broke the 100 win barrier
for the second consecutive year, winning 108 games (versus
107 in 2008).
